Terminator 4: Cast Rumors and Film Details
Only a couple of days ago, Celebrityspotlight.co.uk put up information that both Rachel Weisz and Chloe Sevigny are battling it out for a role in T4. Here is what the article had to say.
Quote:The Hollywood beauties both tried to impress the producers of the much-anticipated sequel during a Dazed and Confused magazine party at New York nightclub The Box on Sunday (09.09.07).
Weisz, 36, and 32-year-old Sevigny are said to have wasted no time in approaching Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek, both big hitters at Halycon Company who own the rights to the movie.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Chloe and Rachel personally inquired to Anderson and Kubicek about the role at the party."
The cast for the film is yet to be named, but it is believed a high profile "hunk" has already been cast as the male lead.
However, Weisz may struggle to fit any new projects into her already busy schedule.
She is already signed up to star in director Peter Jackson's 'Lovely Bones' and next year will start shooting 'Sin City 2' with filmmaker Robert Rodriquez.
Meanwhile, Sevigny has low-profile German romance 'Peter and Catherine' on her current filming schedule.
IGN spoke with James Middleton, consulting producer on The Sarah Connor Chronicles, where he gave some information on whats going on with the T4 film.
Quote:IGN spoke today with James Middleton, consulting producer on the new FOX TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, who gave us a few tidbits about where things stand with Terminator 4.
Middleton informed us that T4 is happening with The Halcyon Company, who owns the franchise rights. It will be written by Michael Ferris and John D. Brancato, the same team that wrote Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Halcyon would like to be in pre-production in October with an eye towards a 2009 release.
No director is signed yet, but they are close, according to Middleton. He added that the sequel will not be called Terminator 4, but instead will use the title Terminator and have some sort of subtitle, as in Rise of the Machines.
It will follow the events of T3 and be post-apocalyptic. It's not known whether Nick Stahl and Claire Danes will return, but John Connor and Kate Brewster are in the script. Middleton said the participation of Stahl and Danes would depend on many factors, including the thoughts of the eventual director and others involved. Also, while John and Kate are part of the story, the movie will feature a new hero as the main character. Middleton likened it to how "Ben-Hur was influenced by Jesus Christ, but it was his story. Much in that way, this character will be influenced by John Connor."
The plan is for this to be the first of three new movies, all of them set in this post-apocalyptic future and showing the war with the machines.
To be honest, I really don't care about the Rachel Weisz and Chloe Savigny story, so what ever happens, happens. If I had to choose between the too, Rachel Weisz would be a givin yes.
The only thing that is really standing out for me is the simple fact that this film is going to be taking place during the war. That has me sooooo pumped to see this.
That said, I do think that this movie is not going to live up to T1 and T2... Just like T3, for the simple fact that T4 is being written by the same writters of T3. I hope that its going to be good, but I really don't have hope for it. Then again, not one single frame of footage has been shot yet, so who knows.
Also, remember several weeks ago when I posted about the possible return of Edward Furlong.... ok people can excercise and get into shape.. but this guy is a mess. This is a recent photo of Furlong.
Come to my website for a whole bunch of cool stuff like Movie TV & Celeb Photos... But I'm sure you all know that already
